Summary:
Mwe Bana Bandi –or You, My Children-- tells the story of two school boys in the Zambian village of Wapamesa. The story takes place on a typical day during the harvesting season. Music is an integral part of the day, where most things come from the children's imagination: reed guitars and maize stalk "Hondas". Everyday events are deeply and sensitively expressed through singing. In this manner the story of the daily life in the village is finally told through the music of these children.
