Summary:

This documentary follows the path of a Dutch woman who went missing on the peak of Mount Mulanje in 2003. It compares the mythical explanations of the local people against the pragmatic explanations of others about the sudden disappearance of people.
Villant Ndasowa is amongst the first professionally trained filmmakers in Malawi. Mystery Mountain was the first Malawi film to be screened outside of the country. She gained a BA degree in Media Production in the U.K and worked for Malawian Television for over 7 years on local and international documentaries. She is currently producing a fiction film written by Charles Joya with a working title Unbreakable Bond which is set to be released next year.
